Scotland County Hospital now offers Vascular Care
Scotland County Hospital is pleased to expand services with Vascular Care at Memphis Medical Services. The new service focuses on wounds, circulation issues, vein care and dialysis access for patients in and around Scotland County Hospital and Rural Health Clinics.
Both doctors developed a passion for outreach medicine early in their careers. Their shared belief is that patients often do better when care can happen close to home, in a hospital they know, with less strain on families and fewer barriers to follow-up care.

“Providing High Quality Vascular Care to Local Communities”
About Us
With our roots in one of the largest vascular practices in the Kansas City metro, we bring extensive experience in complex open and endovascular procedures. Early in our careers, we both developed a passion for outreach medicine — bringing high-quality vascular care directly into underserved communities. With a combined 25+ years of experience, we have expanded vascular service lines across multiple rural hospitals, working to improve access and outcomes for patients outside major metropolitan areas.
Our Mission
We believe patients receive the best care close to home. Many vascular patients are elderly or have mobility limitations that make long-distance travel burdensome or even impossible. By delivering specialized vascular services within local hospitals, we:
- Eliminate the need for travel to urban centers
- Improve access to timely, expert care
- Support local hospitals and keep follow-up care in the community
- Retain downstream imaging and diagnostics such as ultrasounds and CT scans
“Approachable, expert vascular surgeons delivering high-quality, patient-focused care and access services to local communities across Mission and Kansas — right where patients live.”
We treat or provide:
Dialysis Access procedures such as Fistula placement, Graft placement, Port/Catheter placement or removal, Fistulograms, Ballooning, stenting or revision of existing dialysis shunts.
Procedures related to Peripheral Vascular Disease such as smoking cessation counseling, angiography, balloon, stenting or atherectomy for blockages of the arteries of the lower extremity.
Procedures and care related to Diabetic, Venous and Vascular ulcers of the lower extremity.
Counseling, care and procedures related to varicose veins, venous statis ulcers, and leg swelling that include vein closure, varicose vein removal and treatment of May-Thurner syndrome.
We provide high quality local care and surveillance for problems such as aneurysms, carotid disease, high blood pressure related to narrowing of the renal arteries, subclavian steam syndrome and other chronic vascular conditions of the vascular system.
We are available to consult on any condition related to the vascular system and even if we don’t treat it ourselves locally we can help get the patients to the right specialist for the best care.
