Dr. Jonathan E. Wilson, DO, FACOS, FSVS, RPVI, is a highly skilled vascular surgeon with over a decade of experience providing expert care at Level 1 trauma centers and throughout the greater Kansas City area. He is board-certified in Vascular Surgery and brings a deep commitment to advancing patient-centered vascular care.
A native of Independence, Missouri, Dr. Wilson grew up on the Fort Osage Christmas Tree Farm and is a proud graduate of Fort Osage High School. His early roots in the Midwest fostered a lifelong connection to community, which continues to shape his approach to patient care.
Dr. Wilson’s academic journey reflects a passion for excellence. He graduated summa cum laude with multiple honors from Abilene Christian University in Texas, majoring in biochemistry with a focus in molecular genetics. He completed his medical training at the University of North Texas, followed by hands-on clinical experience at Columbia Hospital and Palms West Hospital in Florida. He returned home to Missouri to complete both his general surgery residency and vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Missouri.
Throughout his career, Dr. Wilson has held leadership roles including Chief of Vascular Surgery at Truman Medical Center and board member and wound care director at St. Mary’s Hospital in Blue Springs, Missouri. He co-founded the Midwest Aortic and Vascular Institute (MAVI), where he also mentored residents and vascular fellows. He has contributed extensively to medical literature and is an active Fellow of the Society of Vascular Surgery as well as a member of The American College of Osteopathic Surgeons.
Now serving the community in Scotland County, MO and surrounding areas, Dr. Wilson is excited to bring his expertise, advanced therapies, and compassionate care to the local community, ensuring patients have access to top-quality vascular treatment close to home.
