Lori Claypool, DO

Scotland County Hospital is pleased to announce the full-time obstetrics and gynecology practice of Dr. Lori Claypool at Scotland County Hospital in Memphis. Lori Claypool, DO, FACOOG, NCMP, is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and holds a North American Menopause Society Certification. She is a 1990 graduate of Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and she completed an OB/GYN Residency at Kirksville Osteopathic Medical Center in Kirksville, MO, and Riverside Osteopathic Hospital in Trenton, MI. She earned a BA in Biology from Cornerstone University and she is a Western Michigan University ROTC Distinguished Military Graduate. She is currently a Clinical Adjunct Assistant Professor and the Director of Student Medical Education at A.T. Still University. Her military experience includes Basic Training at Fort Dix, NJ, United States Army, 2^nd Lieutenant, Academy of Health Sciences, Medical Service Corp, Fort Sam Houston, TX, and United States Army Captain, Honorable Discharge in 1997.  Dr. Claypool is a native of Scottville, Michigan. She adopted twin sons from Guatemala in 1996. In her free time, she enjoys fly-fishing, knitting and making hooked rugs. She now lives in Memphis and sees patients at Memphis Medical Services.
