Dr. Jeffrey Davis DO

Graduated Osteopathic Medical school in 2000 from A.T. Still University – Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Attended Family Medicine Residency program at Southern Illinois University – Quincy Family Practice from 2000-2003.

Have practiced full-time at Scotland County Hospital since July of 2003.

Served as Chief-of-Staff at the hospital from 2010-2014.  Became Chief Medical Officer in 2015.

Became the Medical Director of the Scotland County Care Center in 2004.

Became the Medical Director of the Clark County Ambulance Department in 2012.

He is currently completing the Society of Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Certified Medical Director training course.  Plans to become Board Certified in Post-Acute and Long-Term Care in 2018.  Has been Board Certified in Family Medicine and Obstetrics since 2003.

Provided outpatient and inpatient family medicine care to patients of Northeast Missouri and Southeast Iowa through Memphis Medical Services and Scotland County Hospital for over 15 years.  (My first shift in the SCH Emergency Department was in December of 2001 as a resident moonlighting in the ER)

Lives with his wife, Trinity (Trump) Davis, a native of Kahoka, MO and Clark County, have two grown daughters, Sadie and Clara. The Davis’ live in rural Memphis on a small family farm. 

Was President of the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons from April 2016 – April 2017 after serving 5 years on the Executive Committee of their Board of Trustees.

Continues to serve as a Delegate for the state of Missouri to the American Osteopathic Association 2012 – 2017.

Performs endoscopic procedures including EGD and colonoscopy at Scotland County Hospital in Memphis, MO.

Dr. Davis also serves as the Scotland County Coroner.  He was appointed by the Governor in 2013 to fill a vacancy and then was elected in the November 2016 General Election to a new 4 year term.

Medical Directors serve as champions of quality care in the nursing home.  They oversee the medical staff affairs and assist the administrator and the Director of Nursing along with the Board of Directors in ensuring safe, high quality and effective care is being provided to each resident of the nursing home and residential care facility.  Dr. Davis also admits and attends to the care of his own patients at Clark County Nursing Home and Residential Care Facility as well.

In his free time, he enjoys working on his farm with his sheep, cattle and Border Collie, hunting, and exercising.
