Job Summary

The Claims Denials Follow up Specialist will focus on tracking, investigating and resolving insurance claims denials. The role often involves contacting payers, reviewing documentation, and appealing denials to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement. Will review denied claims for accuracy and make corrections as needed. Will send updated appeals or reconsiderations to payers. Investigate claims with no payer response to ensure claims were received. Prepare and submit appeals for denied claims, including supporting evidence. Maintain accurate record of denials follow-up activities, including communication, appeals and outcomes. Will focus on patient/customer satisfaction as well as maintain fiscal responsibilities in department. 

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent 

Background in Medical Billing/Coding/Claims preferred
